Boerejongens Coffeeshop Bij

Boerejongens Bij is a member of the Boerejongens chain located in Amsterdam West. Before joining the Boerejongens family, the shop was known as Coffeeshop De Bij, “The Event”. This shop is a takeaway-only establishment with a distinctly museum-like feel. Informational displays as well as merchandise and Amsterdam Genetics products line the shop's walls in glass displays while the front counters display digital, interactive menus. To complete the atmosphere, a wall of wooden specimen drawers belonging to a vintage archaeology closet hangs above the front counter. A fine selection of Amsterdam Genetics products can be found on the Boerejongens Bij menu as well as the well-known gourmet Spacetry. While there is no smoking room at Boerejongens Bij, there is a raised table with stools where guests can roll up before leaving the shop.

What is Boerejongens?

Boerejongens [pronounced Bore-a-young-an’s] "Farmer Boys" is a chain of distinctly-immaculate Amsterdam cannabis coffeeshops, committed to exemplary quality.

Since 1985 Amsterdam's iconic Boerejongens team has been rooting itself deeply within Amsterdam's cannabis culture. In 2007, the Boerejongens Coffeeshops came to be when Boerejongens West opened in Amsterdam's De Baarsjes neighborhood. With a mission of providing superior quality and outstanding presentation, not to mention customer service from highly-trained, passionate staff, the Boerejongens experience is truly unique to that of other Dutch Coffeeshops.

Boerejongens works cooperatively with partners including Amsterdam Genetics and Bond van Cannabis Detaillisten (BCD) "The Association of Cannabis Retailers " to develop and refine a superior line of cannabis genetics, developed with both passion and scientific expertise.

The Boerejongens Coffeeshops chain is currently made up of four coffeeshops: Boerejongens
West, Boerejongens Center, Boerejongens BIJ, and Coffeeshop Sloterdijk, the newest addition to the Boerejongens family, serving customers since 2018.

When a brand invests so much passion and hard work into ensuring its genetics are of the highest quality, it is only logical it would want its staff to be well-trained. Boerejongens staff undergo rigorous training, taking an average of two years to complete. In addition to on site experience at the coffeeshop, staff also complete officially accredited courses to gain further insight into the cannabis industry.

Amsterdam Genetics' "Spacetry", THC-infused edibles are available at Boerejongens shops as well as a select number of other coffeeshop outposts scattered throughout the Netherlands. These delectable infused desserts are presented in the same exquisite manner of the Boerejongens shops. These beautiful gourmet edibles are the creation of a Michelin Star Chef and are as appealing to look at as they are eat. A variety of Spacetry variations make up a regular product line and limited edition Spacetry variations are released periodically.
