Consumer Beware: Doordash Cannabis Delivery Includes Lab-Synthesized Cannabinoids

Doordash announced a partnership with Cann and will now deliver hemp-derived THC and CBD to customers’ doorsteps in a number of US states, including Ohio. While many news outlets reported this as a positive impact, some critics (including myself) have expressed concerns about the potential risks associated with delivering lab-synthesized cannabis products directly to consumers’ homes.

Several news outlets misrepresented this move, promoting that Doordash cannabis delivery would deliver THC products to customers doorsteps. However, this is far from the truth. They will be offering delivery of hemp-derived products, meaning they will deliver lab-synthesized chemicals that are heavily unregulated and unresearched, which poses a bigger threat than benefit.

Many Hemp-Derived THC Products Are Illegal Around The World

Many nations have even banned several “hemp-derived,” I mean lab-synthesized, THC products. Most notably HHC, which is banned in several European nations, including France, Denmark, and Germany, as well as many states: Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Mississippi, Nevada, New York, Utah, and Washington.

Director and GM of Alcohol and Emerging Categories at DoorDash, Jacob Morello says, “We’re helping people find new products to safely enjoy while they relax and recharge.” However, this statement is false, as lab-synthesized cannabinoids pose a major threat to health and the industry as a whole.

Doordash Cannabis Delivery Will Only Offer Delivery Of Synethtic Cannabinoids & CBD

DoorDash’s decision to offer delivery of hemp-derived products may seem like a convenient service, but the potential risks associated with unregulated and unresearched lab-synthesised chemicals cannot be ignored. Consumers should be cautious when considering the safety and health implications of these products.

Doordash will also deliver CBD products to doorsteps, which is a move in the right direction, but it must be noted that Doordash will not be delivering real, naturally derived THC products. This is a great time to mention that many synthetic cannabinoids are actually extremely harmful, some even deadly. This is not a conspiracy theory; this is an evidence-backed statement.

Synthetic THC Products Have Been Linked To Death

Consumers should be aware of the potential dangers of using lab-synthesized chemicals, such as synthetic cannabinoids, which can have severe health implications. For example, some synthetic cannabinoids (such as 5F-MDMB-PICA) have been linked to serious adverse effects, including seizures and even death.

It is important for consumers to be aware of the potential risks and make informed decisions when choosing to purchase these products. Additionally, regulations and oversight of the hemp-derived THC & CBD industries should be closely monitored to ensure consumer safety.

Doordash’s Motive To Enter The Cannabis Industry Is Purely Monetary

Doordash’s decision to enter the cannabis market with legal highs reflects a growing trend of corporate greed within the cannabis industry, manipulating those who could benefit from naturally derived THC products. The recent Doordash cannabis delivery campaign prioritizes profits over wellness concerns, potentially exacerbating the negative stigma surrounding the use of cannabis. As the industry continues to evolve, it will be crucial for consumers to educate themselves on the potential risks and benefits associated with these products.
