Spanish cannabis exposition, Spannabis has announced the dates of the 2026 event, happening on 17, 18, and 19 April, 2026. Spannabis 2026 will be held at the Bilbao Exposition Center (BEC) in northern Spain. Spannabis’ move to Bilbao was announced in early 2025, shortly before the 2025 edition of Spannabis held at Fira Cornellà in Barcelona.
The expo’s move is a result of the scheduled demolition of the Fira Cornellà venue, Spannabis’ home for the past 22 years. The event first began to utilize Bilbao as an alternative location in 2024, with a 3 day event at the BEC that took place on September 20, 21, and 22.
The 2025 edition of Spannabis in Barcelona was met with nostalgia and a touch of sadness as the crows gave the beloved Fira Cornellà a proper, Spannabis-style send-off.
It has been stated that after the demolition of Fira Cornellà, there will not be an expo space suitable in size for an event such as Spannabis in the city of Barcelona. While seemingly out of the hands of the event organizers, this move has some members of the community concerned with how this move will inevitably effect the flavor of Spannabis.
Unlike Barcelona, Bilbao is not home to a large number of cannabis social clubs (cscs). Green Bilbi is recognized as the regions predominant club.

Social Club events and gatherings have been a long standing part of the Spannabis week festivities and the move will make hosting such events a great deal more difficult and exclusive. Additionally, long standing events in Barcelona which run concorrent to Spannabis, such as the Autoflower World Cup and the Ego Clash Invitational.
The BEC is considered to be a state of the art venue and includes an expo center, conference center, shopping center, and hotel. The massive center is composed six pavilions covering an exhibition area of 150,000 m2.
