Café Hill Street Blues, the legendary cannabis smoke-friendly lounge in Amsterdam, closes its doors. Reports confirm that Hill Street Blues closes its doors and employees confirm they have been let go.
Café Hill Street Blues was a former coffeeshop, which turned into a cannabis friendly bar and lounge. Here, you could order milkshakes, gourmet coffee, alcoholic beverages, and smoke your coffeeshop purchases. You could expect to hear a solid selection of Hip Hop, Drum & Bass, Reggae, UK Garage, and other broken beat music genres while visiting Hill Street Blues. It is obvious why this lounge was a staple among locals and tourists alike.

Café Hill Street Blues was a regular hang-out for tourists and locals alike. Today, the doors to the graffiti cannabis lounge, Hill Street Blues remain locked. It is surely a sad event for lovers of the Amsterdam cannabis scene. This lounge was not only a hit due to allowing cannabis consumption, but also for the music played inside, and its iconic graffiti decor. For years the cannabis smoke-friendly lounge hosted intimate DJ sets and open-mic nights including Vinyl Thursdays, Queen Of The Street, and Ill Street Sessions.
