Green Crack

Green Crack, a descendent of the perennially popular Skunk #1, was bred in Athens, Ohio in the early 1990s. According to legend, Green Crack is a cross between a 1989 Super Sativa Seed Club Skunk #1 cut and an unidentified indica landrace (probably Afghani). Despite many other outlets saying its a sativa leaning variety, Green Crack is actually an indica.

Cecil C., the strain's original breeder, is reported to have originally named the variety Cush, not to be confused with the famed Kush variety. However, the name was changed to better suit Green Cracks effects. After being introduced to the strain, rapper Snoop Dogg gave the strain the moniker Green Crack because of its potent, euphoric, and uplifting properties. Green Crack eventually took over as the strain's name.
