Coffeeshop Family First sits proudly on Amsterdam's Amstel canal in the heart of the city. Located near heavily trafficked Rembrandtplein, Family First's connoisseur menu and high tech presentation make this shop a popular destination for passers by. This shop was formerly known as Coffeeshop Bushdocter, not to be confused with the establishment of the same name located on Thorbeckeplein, but changed ownership in 2018. After the passing of owner Luca Moro, the name of this shop was changed to Coffeeshop Family First in his honor. The shop has since undergone a series of renovations. While it still retains its famous green color scheme, the current owner has added some ultra-modern finishing touches to the shop including levitating specimen jars in which guests can view samples from Family First's connoisseur-grade menu. Family First offers a large menu of cannabis flowers. While this menu does offer certain tried and true classics such as Amnesia Haze and Shoreline, it is dominated by contemporary hybrids including USA genetics and imports. A smaller, yet equally high-quality selection of hashish is also available. Additionally, Family First is one only a handful of Amsterdam coffeeshops that offers a selection of cannabis concentrates, typically including a selection of waxes, rosins, and live resins. Unsurprisingly, this menu has recently gained attention amongst coffeeshop goers and took home awards at both the Jack Herer and Clouds in the City Cups in 2019. While visiting, guests can order an edible or else a beverage and snack to enjoy from the front counter. There is space to sit and enjoy a smoke, or maybe even a dab using Family First's custom torch along the shop's walls.
One of the shop’s with the best connoisseur menus. Imports, dabs, diamonds. Modern atmosphere and really cool decorations. Expensive menu, but worth it for anyone serious about weed.
