Position Summary
The Post Processing Technicians is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the flower operation including intake, drying, curing, bucking, and trimming, to satisfy department standards of appearance and overall quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Must be able to adapt to varying strains, styles, and types of cannabis flowers
Work under direction of the Dry Room Lead
Assist in Dry Room functions during harvest
Assist in all flower processing related tasks (harvesting, de-leafing, de-hanging, de-stemming, bucking, weighing, hanging, trimming)
Identify molds, mildew, bugs, viruses, etc.
Performing quality control inspections of cannabis material
Label product containers of various cannabis materials
Perform all dry flower processing tasks according to the SOP’s
Perform sanitation during all procedures that pertain to the Post Processing Department
Sit or stand for long periods of time
Demonstrate a clear comprehension of quality control guidelines, checkpoints, categories, and responsibilities
Assist in sanitation, organization, proper care, and storage of all tools, and workspace
Other duties assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Due to state regulations, qualified candidates for this position must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a background check – certain criminal convictions may disqualify candidates based on state cannabis licensing regulations.
Previous cannabis experience preferred
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Knowledge of proper safety standards
Ability to work well with ever changing priorities and situations
