Mike Takes A Hit, Moldy Tyson 2.0 Flower Is Recalled

Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson’s cannabis brand, Tyson 2.0, has hit a snag with its latest product recall due to moldy Tyson 2.0 flower. On Tuesday, the state of California ordered the mandatory recall of two products made under Mike Tyson’s cannabis brand due to the discovery that they were aspergillus-contaminated. 

The California’s Department Of Cannabis Control (DCC) issued a warning about the contaminated product, advising consumers to either return it to the retailer or dispose of it properly. Additionally, individuals experiencing adverse reactions are urged to seek medical attention promptly.

Moldy Tyson Cannabis Was Found At 20 Dispensaries

Mike Tyson’s cannabis brand, Tyson 2.0, is facing a recall due to mold contamination in some of its products in California. The (DCC) issued a recall for two Tyson 2.0 strains, Toad & Tadpole, which were packaged into 3.5 gram bags after August 23, 2023. The specific batch number HT-9668-1 is on the label. Other Tyson 2.0 products are not effected, including the comical gummy earbites

The moldy Tyson 2.0 flower was found in 20 dispensaries across California, prompting a swift response from health officials. This is not the first time this year that California cannabis products have been recalled. Over a dozen products have been recalled for mold contamination, highlighting the importance of quality control in the industry.
