In New York, the demand for flowers produced in the state outweighs the demand for flowers grown outside of the state. This is most likely due to the fact that New York is home to some of the most powerful genetics, which have remained relatively unknown for the last several decades. Take, for instance, the names Biesel, Buffalo Blitz, and B3. You may not be familiar with them, but if you are, you are aware of how powerful New York genetics can be! Hell, even the famous cannabis breeder Soma coined his Diesel variety after the Big Apple, which he named New York City Diesel. I am not lying when I say that when I visit my hometown in New York State, I am always hesitant about sourcing flowers from outside of the state.  The term “Cali Reject Bud” was formerly used to describe. You know. The weed that seems like they’ve been tumbled, where all of the trichome heads have been shook off before it is packaged and sent out to the east. Or those overly compact nugs, which had a clear PGR feed during the growth phase. I stay away from those repackaged and relabeled “mids,” which are growing more popular as time goes on.

Now that cannabis is legal in New York State, but there are no legal dispensaries, the question is, where do you source your cannabis flowers? Earlier we discussed receiving cannabis gifts with Mayor Of Puffalo. Now I go over one of Buffalo’s elusive members only clubs, Buffalo Cannabis Club.

While in Buffalo, New York, I sampled a selection of their out-of-state California cannabis flowers, like Cookies’ Gary Payton, Seed Junkie Genetics’ Georgia Pie, and Kush Mints and Kush Cake by Jungle Boys. 

Buffalo Cannabis Club also provides its members with a selection of solvent-based extracts, such as wax, crumble, and shatter, to choose from. While solvent-based extracts may be a hot commodity for many, lately I’ve steered away from these extracts. These days, there’s simply too much ambiguity around solvent-based extracts for me to be able to appreciate them. Since I exclusively consume solvent-free products these days, I decided not to analyze or consume their solvent-based extracts.

Kush Mints

The cannabis variety Kush Mints was originally created specifically for the Jungle Boys crew. It is a balanced hybrid strain created by combining new school Animal Mints with classic Bubba Kush. I’m not sure whether this is the Jungle Boys cut, but the end result is a THC-rich cultivar with a minty smell that is very pleasant. Gary Payton

While in the United States, I examined multiple distinct types of Gary Payton. However, Buffalo Cannabis Club’s pick was by far the most intriguing in terms of terpenes. Its scent is a little skunky and minty, but the tastes are sweet and dessert-like, with creamy lemons and other delicious dessert notes hitting your palate. Kush Cake has uplifting, euphoric benefits that can help you feel more energized while also encouraging relaxation. Kush Cake may be beneficial to medical patients who are seeking pain relief or who are trying to wean themselves off of harsh medicines such as antidepressants or anti-anxiety medications.

Georgia Pie

Let’s discuss Georgia Pie. This Seed Junkie Genetics produced hybrid, with a delectable aroma reminiscent of freshly baked peach pie, has become an international phenomenon. You may find Georgia Pie at various North American dispensaries across the continent, as well as on coffeeshop menus in Amsterdam, and even at Barcelona social clubs! Created by crossing Gellati with Kush Mints (mentioned above), consuming Georgia Pie may leave you physically and mentally invigorated and euphoric. Buffalo Cannabis Club’s out-of-state strains are crisp and terpene rich, while still retaining a certain amount of moisture. James and his Buffalo Cannabis Club brand deliver some of the best out-of-state quality cannabis flowers to its members. The flower provided by Buffalo Cannabis Club is obviously west coast type harvests, not over-dried Colorado bud. While these flowers are of high quality, they will not be found in official Cookies or Jungle Boys mylar packets.
