Just yesterday, we talked about the potential threat Coronavirus can have on Amsterdam coffeeshops. Well, you’ve heard it here first. Coffeeshops are now closing! You better act quickly if you want to secure your herb and hash before we hit a drought.

AMSTERDAM COFFEESHOPS PREAPRE FOR MANDATED SHUTDOWN

Today, Amsterdam’s Grey Area Coffeeshop announced that it will be closed until further notice. Coffeeshop Centraal only allowed 5 people inside at at a time. Coffeeshop Amsterdam states, “we are open till shut down. Till then you can make use of our sanitation station! Get all you need. Stay healthy Clean and strong”.

It is worth noting that Grey Area can only sit a dozen people. What can this mean for coffeeshops with several floors like Bushdocter, Balou, & Andalucia or coffeeshops with large smoking lounges like Get Down To It & Super Skunk?

OTHER CITIES IN NETHERLANDS TAKE PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES

Yesterday, Leerdam’s Coffeeshop Notos closed their smoking lounge. Notos says, “we have decided not to take a risk and close it and smoke part”. Smoking rooms in Den Haag, Tilburg, and several other cities have also been closed until further notice.
