Rapper and entertainer, Ice-T and former Playboy model, Charis Burrett, are opening a cannabis store in New Jersey together.

Ice T and Charis B’s planned dispensary, The Medicine Woman New Jersey, was authorized by the Jersey City Cannabis Control Board on July 25, and is slated to launch sometime in the fall.

Charis B, the former Playmate, and her husband Luke founded The Medicine Woman in California in 2019 as a non-profit delivery service.  Now Ice T and Charis B are establishing the second physical location of The Medicine Woman in Jersey City, New Jersey. 

The 5,000-square-foot shop will reportedly open in the autumn.  The dispensary will offer local cannabis brands from New Jersey, special edition merchandise, and give the required education.

A portion of proceeds from Ice T and Charis B’s dispensary will go to several organizations, including as The Last Prisoner Project, the Jersey City Mural and Arts Program, the Jersey City Employment and Training Program, and Hudson County Community College.

“I’ve dedicated my life and career to giving back and paving the way for minorities,”  Ice T stated in a statement. “As a New Jersey native, I’m excited for the opportunity legalization offers our community and I look forward to ushering in a new era for Cannabis in the state.”

The Medicine Woman Jersey City is scheduled to debut in the autumn of 2022, and the team is now seeking job applications. A number of open roles at The Medicine Woman Jersey City are being advertised. The business said that it would concentrate on offering possibilities for former cannabis offenders from the surrounding region.
