His new brand, TICAL is named after his 1994 solo debut album, meaning “Taking Into Consideration All Lives. Major goals of this product are supplying quality products, primarily to minority and family-owned dispensaries and raising awareness of the cannabis and policing policies that have unjustly touched minority communities for decades.
“Personally, it is essential that we use our brand to help bring awareness to the social, systemic and economic injustice in communities that have struggled with oppressive mass incarceration and racially biased policing policies” the artist said in a statement at the time of the brand’s public launch in June of 2020.
