Rapper Jay-Z is making headlines in the cannabis circuit once again with his newest venture, marijuana line, Monogram. Last July we learned that Jay-Z had entered into the cannabis industry when named Chief Brand Strategist for Caliva, a California based dispensary brand.
A recent press release states, “careful strain selection, meticulous cultivation practices and uncompromising quality” will allow Monogram great success with their cannabis brand. Monogram’s website and Instagram have been made public, though the strain selection and other products or where the brands items will be available remain a mystery.
As part of Jay-Z’s partnership with Caliva, a new marijuana line emerges, Monogram. The brand strives to provide quality through a series of strong work ethics starting from soil and seed. The website states that Monogram will produce small batches of flower, which will allow “every plant to receive personalized attention from our expert growers”. Once the flower has been harvested, a board of cannabis experts have developed which will allow them to carefully inspect flower by hand. This quality control program includes flushing, trimming, and post-harvest care.
To promote the new marijuana line, Jay-Z has also released a compilation album entitled, Monogram: Sounds From The Grow Room. This various artist compilation features a wide selection of music from musicians across many different genres. This multi-genre, stoner classics compilation features 23 hits including Kaya by Bob Marley & The Wailers, I Get High by Freda Payne, I Got 5 On It by Luniz, Got To Get You In My Life by The Beatles, and Power Flower by Stevie Wonder, amongst several others.
