Amsterdam’s Bulldog Hotel To Reopen June 1

Amsterdam’s iconic Bulldog Hotel will reopen on 1 June 2021!

Amsterdam continues to reopen, allowing for more touristic activity in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. On April 28, outdoor terraces opened across the Netherlands as the 10 p.m. – 4:30 a.m. curfew, which had been in effect since January 2021 lifted.

The Bulldog Hotel is the self-proclaimed first 5 star hostel.

“Wake up in one of the highest rated hostels in the world, located in the middle of one of the most visually stunning cities in the world! The Bulldog Hostel Amsterdam is loaded with that typical international and liberal atmosphere that makes Amsterdam so special… besides other things.”

The Bulldog Hotel offers a variety of different accommodations which include “Dorm” rooms, “Deluxe” rooms, and private suites. The Bulldog Hotel Lounge Bar is a smoke friendly establishment hosting live DJ’s on the weekends.

Known fondly as the “livingroom of Amsterdam”, the Bulldog was established by Henk de Vries in December of 1975 and is now iconic in the cannabis industry with locations in Canada, Italy, Spain, and Aruba.

The Bulldog Hotel has implemented new policies to protect guests and staff from COVID-19.

“The Bulldog Hotel’s Lounge & Bar are closed as per the regulations. until further notice, it is not possible for guests to use the hotel lounge bar. The coffeeshop terrace is open from 12:00-18:00 Daily and the hotel roof terrace is available to use by guests with a maximum of 2 people per table. Please note that Corona regulations have been put in place by The Government of The Netherlands. We anticipate further reductions in the restrictions from June 1 2021.

We reserve the right to refuse guests and traveling companions who may be exhibiting symptoms of illness. Upon arrival, guests who fail the questions and/or the temperature check will not be permitted inside the hotel, coffeeshops or lounge bar. We also reserve the right to refuse any travelling companions who share the same reservation or have been in close contact with the refused guest. Guests that do not adhere to the rules prescribed at the hotel, on our website or having been informed verbally, will be asked to leave the hotel. We do not provide refunds for guests asked to leave for failure to follow our house rules.”

The reopening of The Bulldog Hotel is one of many steps the Amsterdam community is taking to achieve a new sense of normalcy after over a year of the COVID-19 pandemic. New measures for living and travel in The Netherlands will be addressed at the next government press conference, scheduled for 1 June, 2021.
